What We Do

At EmpowerWise Ltd, we believe that knowledge is the key to creating safer, more supportive communities. As a social enterprise, our mission is to drive meaningful change by empowering individuals, communities and organisations with the confidence and skills to respond to domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation safely and with confidence.

With over twenty years of experience supporting individuals affected by trauma, including those with additional needs or vulnerabilities, we bring the skill, patience, knowledge and passion to deliver bespoke one off training or structured programs.

Objectives / Mission Statement

EmpowerWise is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation. We strive to create safer, more compassionate communities through education and training, empowering individuals, communities and organisations to provide meaningful support to those affected by these issues and creating environments where people feel valued, supported and heard.

We deliver tailored workshops and training programs to diverse audiences, including employers, community organisations, educators and professionals in public facing roles. These sessions focus on helping participants identify signs of abuse, exploitation and violence, respond with empathy and offer practical support.

For employers, we address how these challenges impact workplace wellbeing and productivity, providing strategies to build supportive, inclusive and non judgemental environments.

Our work also prioritises accessible and inclusive education, helping individuals navigate relationships with confidence and safety. We provide specialised training for professionals working with people facing additional challenges, such as learning difficulties, mental health difficulties and / or substance misuse issues, supporting them to deliver trauma informed care and create person centred approaches.

At EmpowerWise, we believe knowledge, education and understanding are the most powerful drivers for sustained change and breaking cycles that pass through generations. Who We Are

Suzanne Bailey Founder and Director, EmpowerWise Ltd.

Suzanne is a passionate advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation. She is dedicated to increasing awareness and creating safer, more supportive communities. With over 20 years of experience working with and managing teams that support vulnerable individuals, Suzanne designs and delivers impactful training programs that help professionals, businesses and community groups develop the knowledge, confidence and understanding to provide meaningful support. Suzanne is a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) and holds recognised qualifications in Leadership & Management and Education & Training.

Recognising critical gaps in awareness and training within the community, Suzanne founded EmpowerWise Ltd., a social enterprise committed to delivering specialist training on domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation.

In her free time, Suzanne enjoys traveling, exploring nature with her wife Sharon and Lakeland Terrier, Stanley, and volunteering in local community projects.
